Jeremy grew up surfing and skateboarding in Morro Bay before relocating to North County and graduating from Templeton High School. After high school, he studied philosophy, theology, and psychology while helping mentor youth. He then spent his next chapter traveling the world and working in and starting non profits to help the poor and hurting around the world. He returned to the Central Coast and started Spearhead Coffee with 2 business partners in 2014 with a goal to bring specialty coffee to the area and source ethically sourced beans that would benefit farmers overseas. From there he bought and rebranded High Tide in Morro Bay from a good friend. Jeremy is passionate about connecting with his local community and starting what he calls creative compassionate communities.

Ellen has always had a deep love of all things creative. She grew up cooking and baking, and graduated from Templeton High School with many theater performances under her belt. After High School she attended and graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Psychology. Working her way through college, she discovered a love for both the coffee industry as well as the wine industry. She started by working in local cafés and after college moved to working in the wine industry. Before joining the entrepreneur world, Ellen had a career in Wine Club Management, and helping local wineries with shipping and logistics. In 2024, she took a leap and left the wine industry to join her husband Jeremy in the wild world of small business. Ellen loves creating inspiring spaces, making food for loved ones, and spending time in nature.

Jeremy and Ellen were married in 2022 and now run High Tide together and have recently opened Pie in the Sky Pizza in Cayucos. They share a love of good food and community and are always daydreaming of their next creative business venture.
